Cotton made in Africa

Our concern for “Social Business” and sustainability, led VARVARESSOS S.A. to start producing yarns from Cotton made in Africa. Cotton made in Africa initiative, is supporting African smallholder cotton farmers through sustainable cultivation methods to increase their yield and income . CmiA cotton has a far smaller environmental footprint than conventionally grown cotton as it cultivated according to sustainable farming criteria. It generates up to 70% less greenhouse gas emissions and uses zero liters of fresh water. It supports production with natural fertilizers, and is harvested only by hand. CmiA is processed into apparel and home textiles, in production markets worldwide. Use CmiA. Improve someone’s life.
